 At the start of the lock-down we got a small above ground pool to keep our kid occupied at home since we couldn't go out anywhere. Where we live it is very dry and has little natural water anywhere. In the first week one or two bees would show up drawn to the water but now it's way more. At first my 5 year old just screamed and flailed about trying to swat them away from her, but now after some talks she's been treating them like tiny friends. You can actually see her start to have a fear reaction but then it's like she overcomes it and is fascinated by them instead. We get quiet and very still so we can watch them up close drink a droplet of water, she grabs the skimmer if they fall in the water to rescue them.

 Oh, you should have been there the day after we used up the last of the chocolate ice cream, so people couldn't get the twist ice cream cone any more.So salty we didn't have to fill the shakers for the fries. The restaurants i stop coming to are because their food is bad, overpriced, or it takes forever. restaurants actually have a pretty low bar for "good enough". the tricky part is never providing a bad experience because that's when people leave and never come back. a decent restaurant that never fucks up will be far more profitable and enduring than a good restaurant that fucks up every now and then.
