 Well I'm the most biased person who could possibly answer you, as to this day I will die with it still in my top 5 games of all time, not just racing games, I mean games period.I would say, especially if you're playing the very excellent PC version (GOG has a Windows 10 compatible version for pretty cheap!), it holds up AMAZINGLY well. To this day, even though it's a low-poly early 3D type game, the art design, including the incredibly smart decision to stretch out textures of levels to simulate motion blur, results in a game that feels at times faster than an F-Zero game, but it's still tight to control, and is just mechanically satisfying, with a really interesting progression loop in the main singleplayer that rewards mastery of levels and skill in pod control. I will only get this if it has dual stick controls like it did on N64. That was the best. You wouldn't even have to hold two controllers this time either.

 If someone shoots at you, you're pretty much free to do what you gotta do. For the most part it would be self defense, turning around and going for a second pass is not. Cut down a tree. Or two.  Oh, you should have been there the day after we used up the last of the chocolate ice cream, so people couldn't get the twist ice cream cone any more.So salty we didn't have to fill the shakers for the fries.
