I've had good authentic Chinese food but not at the place we went. This place was packed because it was cheap. But many of them have a secret Chinese menu you can ask for, with more authentic food for Chinese immigrants. Its usually written in Chinese and they dont like to give it out usually. Not really. Chinese food is a local thing. Moved from one big city to the next. I can’t find good Chinese food anyway. The level of spice is different. The hot and sour soup is more sour than umami. I’m not a happy camper since moving back is not a option.

 Oh, you should have been there the day after we used up the last of the chocolate ice cream, so people couldn't get the twist ice cream cone any more.So salty we didn't have to fill the shakers for the fries. The restaurants i stop coming to are because their food is bad, overpriced, or it takes forever. restaurants actually have a pretty low bar for "good enough". the tricky part is never providing a bad experience because that's when people leave and never come back. a decent restaurant that never fucks up will be far more profitable and enduring than a good restaurant that fucks up every now and then. I take some pride in making my plates look amazing, even though I know the food is mediocre or bland as fuck. But if it looks great, people will often look past its mediocrity.
