  I knew a woman whose baby canine teeth had never fallen out. they were just plunked right on top of her grown-up ones. She asked facebook if she should remove them and everyone was like "NO!! they make you unique and beautiful!" but if you looked at her profile pics, there wasn't a single one where she was smiling. I did get them out eventually but my teeth were unbelievably screwed up because of it. I had a cartoonish overbite until I finished with braces senior year of high school. Everyone always got so mad at me for not smiling w/my teeth in pictures, like sorry I totally hate my disgusting crooked smile lol. I'm all for loving your quirks but sometimes they make life way harder than it needs to be.

 I always wonder on those "write your full name and signature" forms, isn't your handwritten full name the signature itself?  My understanding of this is to print my name legibly and then sign it the way I normally do (in cursive and much less legibly... But it's consistent). Yes, your signature is the identifying thing, but they still need to be able to read your name. I'm actually a teacher, and I had the sponsor of one of the clubs on campus come by my room a while back to double check that the signature on a student's field trip form was really mine. I have a “teacher signature” for hall passes that’s literally scribble.  Patreon could probably get in hot water if they are providing financial services for people carrying out copyright infringement for example, so they probably have strict rules about that. One would assume they also don't want to be associated with promoting extremist views, so I bet there are rules against say Neo-Nazi's or whatever. Businesses are not required to uphold free speech, you're confusing them with the government. As you say that's especially easy to see when you look at the broader picture: it's a good thing that YouTube has tweaked its algorithm to try to make stuff like Flat Earther videos less prominent, and it's a good thing that they have a policy against, e.g., a nazi calling for genocide.
