If humans weren't even around, don't polar shifts happen naturally throughout time anyway? Obviously humans aren't helping that but could humans actually stop it from happenening in the first place? I'm not trying to debunk anything. I don't know much about it all. I'm just sure I read somewhere that polar shifts have happened throughout the earth's history and that the earth heats up and cools down periodically. You are right. The earth goes through regular glacial (ice age) and interglacial (not ice age, like right now) periods. Recently, over the last 500,000 years, these have been going back and forth every ~60,000 years. Right now we are in a quite mild interglacial, so not as warm as even the last interglacial. However we should be seeing a long term COOLING of the climate as we are due to be heading into another glacial period. However we are seeing the opposite.

 If someone shoots at you, you're pretty much free to do what you gotta do. For the most part it would be self defense, turning around and going for a second pass is not. Cut down a tree. Or two. Enough to block the road. Chainsaw. Ropes. A couple hours of work, and lots of sweat. And you need to be able to deploy the trees in a hurry, else passing drivers will see it and call the authorities.  Oh, you should have been there the day after we used up the last of the chocolate ice cream, so people couldn't get the twist ice cream cone any more.So salty we didn't have to fill the shakers for the fries.
